Stories
There is nothing here yet.
Date to Marry launched in September 2026. No couple who met here has been together long enough to have a story worth your time, and we are not going to write you one in the meantime.
Why this page is empty
Every other app in this category has a page of glowing quotes from people whose names are two letters. Some of those are real. It is impossible, from the outside, to tell which — and the ones that are invented cost nothing to produce. We would rather show you an empty page you can trust than a full one you cannot.
The temptation, described plainly
Writing six convincing testimonials would take an afternoon. They would improve how this site converts, they would be almost impossible to disprove, and a great many companies do exactly that.
There are two reasons we will not. The first is that an invented endorsement is regulated in most of the markets we operate in — the UK advertising code and the American endorsement rules both treat it as actionable, and rightly so. The second matters more: we are asking you to believe that the matching is honest, that the six absolutes are really absolute, and that we would rather show you nobody than the wrong person. A company willing to fabricate a couple has already told you what its other claims are worth.
What will appear here, and what it will have to meet
Written down now, while it costs us something, rather than later when it would be convenient to soften.
-
Both people verified their identity
Every member did that before being matched, so a story from this platform is not two anonymous accounts. It is two named adults who agreed to be here.
-
They met through the app
Not a couple who already knew each other and joined afterwards, and not a friend of the company. The match record is the evidence, and we will have checked it.
-
They asked to be here
Written consent for the specific words published, given after seeing them. Withdrawable at any time, and removed the day it is withdrawn.
-
As much privacy as they want
First names, initials, or nothing at all. Marriage is a public act; being an advertisement for one is not, and a couple should be able to say yes to the first without the second.
-
Their words, not ours
Edited for length if they ask, never for enthusiasm. If a story includes the part that was hard, the hard part stays in.
In the meantime, judge us on something checkable
You cannot verify a testimonial. You can read the Pledge Agreement, which is a contract and says exactly what happens if we fail you. You can read why we would rather send you no one, which admits what our policy costs members in cities where few people have joined. And you can read the manifesto, which sets out what each of our convictions costs us.
Those are all things you can hold us to. A quote from “Su, 52” is not.
If you met here
Tell us. It is the only number we care about.
Whether or not you want anyone to read about it. If you do, you will be helping the next person far more than any advertisement could — and you decide exactly how much is said.

Does Date to Marry have success stories?
Not yet, and we are not going to invent any. The app launched in September 2026. When couples who met here are willing to talk about it, their stories will appear on this page under the standard set out on it.
Why are there no testimonials on the site?
Because we do not have real ones yet. Writing convincing ones would be straightforward and is common in this category; it is also a fabricated endorsement, which is regulated in most of the markets we operate in and would be self-defeating for a product whose whole argument is honesty.
How will I know the stories are real when they appear?
Both people will have verified a government ID before being matched, they will have met through the app rather than joined as an existing couple, and they will have consented in writing to the specific words published. We will say which parts a couple chose to keep private.
We met on Date to Marry. Can we tell you?
Please do — hello@datetomarry.app. It is the only number we actually care about, and if you are willing to let others read about it, you would be helping the next person more than any advertisement could.
